Description
Detail | ●Koban was a gold coin minted during the Edo period (1600-1868) in Japan. This Man'en Koban (1860-67) was minted at the very last period. The face value of "1 Ryo" was exactly the same as other era's Koban, however, the size is extremely minimal and light in weight. The economy was about to collapse which you can tell from this Koban. ●3rd Highest graded coin. Top pop is MS-62. Because of it's minting method, Koban is extremely hard to get a MS grading. |
